Raised in London of
Antiguan heritage, Everett’s
earliest childhood
memories recount the
marked influence of his
parents playing the classic soul sounds of the 60’s and 70’s.
As a child, beating pots
and pans in the kitchen, while his mum washed the dishes,
Everett displayed early signs of love for performance, making up routines with his siblings. Influences
such as, Natalie Cole,
Saxophonist, Ace Cannon, or
Mariah Carey to name a few.
His induction into music
continued whilst being babysat by
extended family, who introduced him
to the uniquely British flavors laid down in Lovers Rock as well as Mica Paris, and Soul 2 Soul. This fusion of US interspersed with UK music styles laid the cornerstone for Everett’s vocal persona. With 90’s Hip-hop and
R&B being the root for his style of
delivery.

In 2006 he featured on a UK
chart release, as part of a
collective named
‘Soundbwoy Entertainment’ lead
by producer G Logan. The song was
called ‘Never Wanna Say Bye’.
Everett began performing from the age of 6 in school. By the age of 16 he built the confidence to perform in small clubs at talent shows and open mic nights. He was spotted by music producer, Delroy Murray, of
80’s group Total Contrast,
who invited Everett to his recording studio, giving him the opportunity to gain valuable
experience, developing as a
writer and recording artist. It
was through the conduit of Delroy’s studio that Everett was able
to perform at the Hackney Empire for ‘Sunday Selection’. He would then
go on to join an R&B group
named ‘Syndicate’ in 98, who carved out successes, performing up
and down the country and supporting UK luminaries such as
and Damage.

His journey continued when a friend named Paul Taylor, introduced him to multi-instrumentalist and producer, Karlos ‘Karlito’ Edwards,
whose distinctively
polished production can be heard
on Everett’s four track EP,
‘First Night’. With lyrics co-written by Paul ‘P1’ Taylor, Karlito
has created four
tracks demonstrating his prowess as a producer and music collaborator. Recorded at Smokehouse Studios in London Docklands, and
executive produced by Errol Michael Henry.
His overarching message as an artist is self-belief, self worth. Life lessons resulting in a tendency to write songs with this in mind.

Following this, Everett went on
to collaborate and promote the
‘Cisum Entertainment’ brand. An
up and coming label lead by hip-hop artist, Final Element. Promoting
the brand via the mix tape circuit, this period would solidify his reputation for consistency from a marketing point of view and make him a familiar face in various areas around the UK.
